Russland: Oppositioneller Kara-Mursa in Strafgefangenenklinik verlegt
Der zu 25 Jahren Haft verurteilte Kremlgegner Wladimir Kara-Mursa ist nach Angaben seiner Anwälte und Ehefrau vom Straflager im sibirischen Omsk in ein Haft-Krankenhaus verlegt worden. Der Zustand des 42-Jährigen, der zu den schärfsten Gegnern von Kremlchef Wladimir Putin gehört, ist unklar.
Die Klinik des russischen Strafvollzugs habe erst nicht, dann doch zugegeben, dass der seit langem gesundheitlich schwer angeschlagene Politiker dorthin verlegt worden sei, teilte seine Frau Jewgenija Kara-Mursa im sozialen Netzwerk X mit. Die Anwälte seien erst hingehalten worden und hätten letztlich keinen Zugang zu ihm erhalten.
Haftbedingungen in Russland - Im Februar war der bekannteste russische Oppositionelle Alexej Nawalny in einem Straflager in der russischen Arktisregion gestorben. Auch andere politische Gefangene in Russland beklagen besonders harte Haftbedingungen, die zu gesundheitlichen Schäden führen.
Kara-Mursa leidet nach zwei Vergiftungsattacken an einer chronischen Erkrankung. Seine Ehefrau erinnerte daran, dass die Anwälte seit Donnerstag vergeblich versucht hätten, den Oppositionellen zu sehen. Die Ärzte hätten sie erst warten lassen und schließlich gesagt, dass der Arbeitstag am Freitag vorbei sei. Am Wochenende lasse der Strafvollzug keine Besuche zu, hieß es demnach.
Haftbedingungen verschlechtert - Seinem Anwalt zufolge ist Kara-Mursa im Juni für sechs Monate in eine Zelle mit erschwerten Haftbedingungen verlegt worden. Solche besonders engen Zellen sind häufig genutzte Schikanen der Wärter im Straflager für politische Gefangene.
Kara-Mursa war im April 2023 unter dem Vorwurf des Hochverrats zu 25 Jahren Lagerhaft verurteilt worden. International gilt er als politischer Gefangener. Seit Jahren kritisierte er die Politik von Putin und auch den russischen Angriffskrieg gegen die Ukraine.
